All about the Habbo Marketplace

What is Marketplace?

Marketplace is a convenient way to sell Habbo items you no longer want. You can list items for sale in the shop for up to 48 hours and check back to see if they've sold. Now you can sell (nearly) all your items through the Marketplace, however there are some that can't be sold in the Marketplace, including Pets, teleports and items purchased through Pixels.

Why open up the Marketplace?

Opening up the marketplace like this makes it much easier for you to find the Furni you want at competitive prices, and makes it easier for Traders to sell and trade a wider variety of items.

Why can't I use the Marketplace?

To use the Marketplace you'll need a Trading Pass. You can find out more about Trading Passes and how to get one by reading this article.

How do I sell items in the Marketplace?
You are able to sell any item which is tradable by highlighting it in your inventory and clicking on the 'Sell in Marketplace' button. You are able to post 5 items for sale at the cost of 1 credit.

How do I buy items in the Marketplace?
The shop has a Marketplace category which lists all the items currently for sale by other players. If there are several items of the same type for sale at different prices, you will always pay the lowest price advertised.

Does it cost to use the Marketplace?
As a seller it will cost you 1 Credit for every 5 items you post for sale, and you get to define exactly how many Credits you want to receive when the item is sold. The actual sale price of the item is the price you've defined, plus 1% sales commission (minimum of 1 Credit). As a buyer, you will pay the tax of 1% of the sale price, rounded to the nearest full Credit. In the shop you'll see the exact price you're paying. The tax is added automatically so you don't have to be concerned about the tax at any point.

Can I still trade with other Habbos?
Yes, indeed! Trading items with other players is unchanged. Marketplace simply allows you to sell items for credits.

How do I know if my items have sold in Marketplace?

What happens if my item doesn't sell?
If your item has not sold, you will find a notice under the My Offers tab in the Marketplace area of the shop. You can redeem your item from there.

Can I cancel/take back items which have been sold in the Marketplace?
Once one of your items has been sold in the Marketplace you cannot get it back.

Can I cancel/take back items which are still on sale in the Marketplace?
Yes; you can cancel an ad by opening the "My Offers" page in the shop and then clicking the "Take back" button beside your items. If you cancel an ad you do not get your token back.
