Why am I not receiving emails from Habbo?
Several factors could be causing Habbos to not receive emails from us. Here are common scenarios:
- Invalid email address: Ensure the email associated with your account is valid and correctly spelled.
- Unverified email address: Verify your email through your account settings to receive important notifications.
- List-Unsubscribe: If you accidentally unsubscribed from our emails, you may not receive them. Consider reversing this action or contacting us for assistance.
-
Flagged as SPAM: Emails marked as spam may end up in your junk mail. To resolve this, follow these steps:
- Check your spam folder.
- Mark our emails as "Not Spam" or move them to your inbox.
- Add our email (auto-contact@habbo.com) to your address book to prevent future filtering.
How can I ensure I receive emails from Habbo?
To ensure you receive our emails, take these steps:
- Change your email address: Ensure it's valid and up-to-date in your account settings.
- Verify your email address: Complete the verification process in your account settings.
- Check communication preferences: Review your settings to ensure you're set up to receive our emails.
- Add us to your address book: Adding our email address (auto-contact@habbo.com) to your contacts can prevent our emails from being marked as spam or ending up in your junk folder.
Have you accidentally blocked or filtered our emails?
If you or your email provider have inadvertently added Habbo to a blocked-senders list or set up a filter, our emails won't reach your inbox even if everything else is set up correctly.
Here's how to check and fix this on the two most common providers.
Outlook / Hotmail / Outlook.com
- Open Outlook and select Settings (the gear icon), then go to Mail Junk email.
- Under Blocked senders and domains, look for auto-contact@habbo.com (or anything ending in habbo.com). If it's there, select it and remove it.
- Under Safe senders and domains, select Add and enter auto-contact@habbo.com.
- Under Safe mailing lists, select Add and enter auto-contact@habbo.com as well.
- Select Save.
Gmail
- Open Gmail and select Settings (the gear icon), then See all settings.
- Open the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab.
- Under the list of blocked addresses, check for auto-contact@habbo.com (or any habbo.com address). If it's there, select it and choose Unblock selected addresses.
- Still on that tab, review your filters for any rule that sends Habbo emails to Spam or Trash, and delete it.
