We’re proud of the creative user-made games invented and played by Habbos. Games like Falling Furni, Costume Change, and Telephrase (plus many others) fill our Navigator and bring pleasure to millions of Habbos every month.
To keep games fair and safe for everyone, all user-made games must follow the Code of Conduct in our Terms of Service, the Habbo Way, and these guidelines.
The key rule: prizes of value can be won through skill, but never through luck.
What counts as a prize of value?
A prize of value is anything a player could otherwise buy, sell, trade or use, including:
- Credits or Credit Furni
- Item of any type, or any other Virtual Goods that can be traded. Including furni, clothing, etc
- Anything with value outside Habbo, such as Collectibles, gift cards or items in other games
Playing just for fun, for bragging rights or for a shout-out in your room is not a prize of value.
To mitigate this, there is a limit to the number of chance elements that can function in a room (e.g. Dicemasters, Wheel of Fortune, Fortune Tellers). Placing more than three chance elements will disable all randomiser functions in the room.
For the sake of clarity, what your room actually looks like and the items placed within it doesn’t matter, but placing bets is, and no prizes of value can be given out based on a random result. You can, however, use dice and other chance furni to help run a game, for example to split players into teams (everyone who rolls a 1 or 3 is on the red team!), as long as no prize of value depends on the result.
What kind of games are allowed?
Skill games
The outcome of the game is mostly based on the skills of the players. Such as:
- Melting mats
- Races
- Falling Furni
Skill games are allowed, and winners can receive prizes of value, as long as the game is free to enter. Entrance fees, pay-to-play, fast passes or any other payment to take part are not allowed.
Randomised games
The outcome of the game is random. Such as:
- Don't hit the wall
- Bingo
- Fridge
- Nervous
These games are allowed only if they are free to enter and no prizes of value are given out. This applies to whoever provides the prize and whatever the game is called.
Giveaways and raffles
Raffles, lotteries, lucky draws and giveaways where winners are picked by chance are not allowed if the prize is of value, even when they're free to enter.
You can still give away furni and other prizes, as long as luck doesn't decide who gets them. For example:
- Everyone who takes part receives the same prize
- Prizes go to the first players to arrive or sign up
- Contests decided by skill or judging, such as quizzes, trivia, or best room build, with free entry
All games are assessed based on their actual characteristics and operation, regardless of their name, label, or description. Any game, feature, or mechanic that may constitute a game of chance with prizes of value, lottery, raffle, betting activity, gambling activity, or other regulated gaming activity under applicable law is prohibited unless expressly authorised by Sulake and supported by all required licences, permits, approvals, and regulatory authorisations.
Running a game that breaks these guidelines may lead to the room being closed and action being taken on your account, in line with our Terms of Service and the Habbo Way. If you see a game that breaks these rules, please report it.
