Habbo name change
To change your name, open your profile in the Modern client and click or tap the edit button next to your name.
Requirements, cost, and restrictions
- You need to be a HC member.
- Names can contain the following characters: _-=?!@:,.
- You can change your name once every 30 days.
- It’ll cost 75 credits and diamonds to change your name.
- You can’t use the names of banned Habbos.
- You can’t use old names that have been reserved (see below 👇).
Reserving previous names
Every time you change your name, you’ll be able to reserve up to three of your old names in case you want to revert back to one of them.
You’ll be able to pick one of your three old names to clear whenever you want. Once a name is cleared, another Habbo can use it. After you "clear" your old name, there's nothing we can do to prevent that name from being used by anyone within the community, so please be extra careful!
I want to get the name of an avatar that has been inactive for a long time
Unfortunately, it is not possible to make inactive or banned account names available for now, so please choose a name that is not in the system.
I made a mistake while renaming, can you fix it?
We are not authorized to change Habbo account names, you can only do so when it expires in your profile setting yourself.
Someone is using my old name what can I do?
Once a name is cleared, another Habbo can use it. After you "clear" your old name, there's nothing we can do to prevent that name from being used by anyone within the community.
How many names can I reserve?
You can not change your name if you have 3 names reserved. We show you a warning about it. You have to delete one of them in order to change your name once more. We do not delete/clean old names. Only the name owner can delete their old name. Changing your name BACK to your reserved name will cost the normal amount.
