Are the hotel economies merging?
No. The normal economies of the individual hotels are not merging. Normal Marketplace trading remains hotel-specific as it is today across all nine Habbo hotels. The only thing shared between all nine hotels is Regular Collectibles Marketplace listings and their shared price history.
What can I sell?
Regular Collectibles held in your Collector Wallet (including eligible Relics that originate from converted Habbo furni).
What cannot be sold:
- Regular, non-Collectible items
- Regular Collectibles held in a MetaMask wallet – they must be transferred to your Collector Wallet for them to be sellable on the in-game Marketplace
- Premium Collectibles: Habbo Avatars, Crafted Avatars, Portraits, and Habbo X Rooms
Regular Collectibles vs. Premium Collectibles
Regular Collectibles (such as Furni and Clothing Collectibles) can be sold on the Marketplace. Premium Collectibles (Habbo Avatars, Crafted Avatars, Portraits, Habbo X Rooms) generate Emeralds daily but can't be sold on the Marketplace.
What currency is used?
Emeralds are the only currency used to buy and sell Collectibles on the Habbo Marketplace. Credits cannot be used, and you cannot swap Emeralds for Credits through the Marketplace.
Which Emeralds can I use?
You can only use Emeralds held in your Collector Wallet, as Emeralds in a MetaMask wallet cannot be used directly.
Is there a fee?
Yes. It works like the regular Marketplace fee does with Credits – the more you sell for, the higher the fee – paid in Emeralds and automatically deducted from the sale price.
Sellers do not need to pay the fee upfront. You will always see exactly how many Emeralds you will receive before you confirm. Find out more about Marketplace fees.
Why is the fee higher on more expensive Collectibles?
The Collectibles Marketplace uses the same fee rules as the regular Marketplace, so it works the way you already know. A higher fee on high-value listings helps keep prices fair, discourages inflated prices and keeps the Marketplace active for everyday buying and selling.
The Emeralds taken as fees are removed from circulation, which helps Emeralds hold their value. You'll always see exactly how many Emeralds you'll receive before you confirm.
In-game trades with other players in your hotel are still an option, with a flat 10 Silver fee per trade, whatever the item's value.
What happens to the Emeralds taken as a fee?
They're burned – removed from the economy completely. We don't keep them.
Is there a Silver fee?
No Silver is involved in Marketplace sales. The only fee is the Emerald fee automatically deducted from the sale price.
Who can use it?
Anyone with a Trading Pass and no trade lock, using the Classic client. Each Marketplace offer is for one Collectible.
Can players in other hotels buy my Collectibles?
Yes. The Collectibles Marketplace is shared by every hotel, and so is its price history.
How do I get Emeralds?
Emeralds enter circulation in different ways:
- Generated daily by owning Premium Collectibles.
- Obtained from other players.
- Received when another player purchases one of your Regular Collectibles through the Habbo Marketplace.
Do I need Emeralds or Premium Collectibles before I can sell a Collectible?
No. If you own a Regular Collectible, you can list it for sale without already owning Premium Collectibles or having an Emerald balance. If another player buys it, you receive the Emeralds from the sale minus the Marketplace fee.
What can I spend Emeralds on?
You can spend Emeralds on premium content in the Collectibles Shop, or sell them on for ETH and other cryptocurrencies.
Can I choose which listing I buy?
When a player buys a Collectible on the Marketplace, they always automatically buy the cheapest available offer.
Where is my Collectible while it is listed?
When a Collectible is listed, someone monitoring your Collector Wallet on-chain may see the item held in a separate wallet until it sells or the listing is cancelled. Cancelling an unsold listing through My Sales returns the Collectible to your wallet.
How is this different from trading Collectibles with other players?
Players can already trade Collectibles directly with each other within their local hotel for a 10 Silver fee per trade, and that remains unchanged. The Marketplace is different because listings reach players across all nine hotels, share a single price history, and use Emeralds.
How do I tell Collectibles apart from normal furni in the Marketplace?
Collectibles display a Collectible icon and are priced in Emeralds, whereas normal items are priced in Credits. There’s also an option to search for Collectible offers only.
